Our Philosophy

Crucial to the practice of Fyrnsidu as a lifestlye, is an understanding of the philosophical and religious principles that rest at its core. Fyrnsidu is a holistic lifestyle, which means that to the heathen, all facets of life are interlinked. This includes things one wouldn't normall associate with "Religion" in the modern sense of the word. To a heathen, Religion isn't something that just happens on Sundays.  The ancient Germanic peoples did not have a clear dividing line between "religion" and secular life, nor between the spiritual and the mundane forces in the universe.  To the Germanci Heathen, the "worldly" and "otherworldly" were very much two sides of the same coin.
